		<description>I can&#039;t argue with your critical judgment of the Mists. I like it a bit better - I like the soap opera, compulsive page turning quality it has. And while it could have been much shorter, and more powerful for that, it could have been much, much worse. In the hands of someone less well-versed in the traditions, in comparative mythology, this could have been a complete travesty. Her project is unabashedly ideological, but then so was that of the Cistercians who wrote the Quest of the Holy Grail. Her talent seems to be akin to Malory&#039;s: making a long story even longer. But I tend to believe that she did what she did, like Malory, out of love.</description>
