I am interested in several versions of the Cinderella. Lin Lan is one of them. Its plot strayed I think the most from the “traditional” story of Cinderella.  I am also interested though in the incestuous desires of the king in “Donkeyskin” and how that changes the dynamic of the story.

I JUST watched the Disney version of Cinderella, and it made me smile.
Anyways… I want to write my essay about the Donkeyskin version because 1. the donkey can excrete gold coins. and 2. because the story intrigued and shocked me with the incestuous father and the lack of a royal ball. I’m having trouble figuring [...]
