xbox commercial
I came across this banned xbox commercial and found it rather interesting. I assume it was banned for its use of violence, however, I don’t think that it is much more violent than some other commercials or previews for movies/video games/shows that air on tv. I also thought the music choice was unusual, and I don’t feel it fits very well with the commercial. I think it is meant to have a element of humor, but the subject of guns and public shooting may be too controversial to be considered funny. Do you guys think this is too violent? It is funny?

I saw this ad too, and I definitely think the subject matter it portrays is way way too sensitive especially in this age. I do remember playing “shooting” games with my fingers, and so I am aware of what this ad was trying to get at but grown adults, acting this out in such a realistic manner is kind of disturbing, even if no one really dies.

To me this just looked like a large scale LARP (Live Action Role Playing) game. But because I know what that is and have experienced one, I was not offended and did in fact find it enjoyable. Other who have no concept of what that means might find it upsetting and offensive, however.
